Liverpool star player Philippe Coutinho has emerged as a target for Spanish heavyweights Barcelona this summer and the La Liga club appears desperate to get his signature.
Barca have been strongly linked with the Brazilian star, and in a new development, there are reports that Liverpool are now asking for two Barcelona players in exchange for Phillipe.
Apart from that the Anfield club wants Barcelona to send the duo of Rafinha and Andre Gomes to England, they are also said to desire a huge fee from the Spanish club before they can allow Coutinho move to Spain.
Spanish news outlet Don Balon (via futsoccer) report that Barcelona already have a hefty bid of £72m rejected from Liverpool, and it is thought that they are requesting something higher as well as two Barcelona players.
Barca are understood to be desperate to bolster their squad this summer after losing out on the La Liga title to Real Madrid last season, and were humiliated out of the Champions League.
And what made the case of Coutinho different is that he has been identified as a player they could use to replace Andres Iniesta.
Liverpool have been publicly sounding it that they are not going to sell Philippe and even their German boss Jurgen Klopp states that the club is not a selling club. But it appears this is about to change soon if Barcelona are willing to accept the reds new terms.
