Liverpool are in pole position to sign Borussia Dortmund youngster Christian Pulisic ahead of their fellow English heavyweight Arsenal according to media reports in the United Kingdom (UK).
This development concerning the young American international represents a change in fortune for the Reds, who are currently trail Arsenal by three points in the race for the English Premier League (EPL) title. Liverpool are third on the log with 31 points from the first 15 games of the season behind Arsenal (34 points from 15 games) and Chelsea (37 points from 15 games).
According to The Sun, 2013 UEFA Champions League (UCL) finalists Borussia Dortmund are open to the idea of letting the previously mentioned Pulisic leave for Liverpool rather than let him move to the Emirates Stadium to play for Arsenal possibly due to the connection Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has with the German club having managed the team to two league titles and a UCL final as mentioned above.
If Pulisic eventually make the reported move to Anfield it would represent a reunion with Jurgen Klopp, who was his former manager at his German club. The 18-year old forward would undoubtedly add a lot of quality as far as the attacking options at Liverpool’s disposal is concerned.
