Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Jonas Boldt has revealed that highly rated winger Leon Bailey won’t leave the club when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
Leon Bailey has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Premier League with clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea.
The 21-year-old had earlier revealed that he turned down the aforementioned clubs in favour of a move to German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and that he felt that a big transfer was too early in his football career.
The Jamaican international star signed for Bayer Leverkusen in January 2017 from Belgian top-flight side Genk.
His impressive performances for Leverkusen has shot into European prominence leading to the renewed interest from the Reds.
Liverpool lack a proper winger in their squad and Leon Bailey could be a fantastic addition to solve this problem at Liverpool.
Without a traditional winger, the Reds have been able to start the season well especially in the Premier League.
The five-time European champions are unbeaten in the Premier League after eleven games of the new season and that has left them in third spot and just two points off the league leaders and defending champions Manchester City.
