Leno speaks on how he made two stunning saves against Tottenham

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno was also at his best against Tottenham in the North London derby and most significant of his performance in the game are the double save he made in the game to rescue his team from defeat.

The tie had ended in a 1-1 draw with Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang giving away the opportunity the Gunners had to secure an outstanding victory as he missed a penalty in the last minutes of the game.

Speaking on how he made the saves, Bernd Leno confessed that he did not know how it happened because everything happened in a flash. He added that he only reacted to Sissoko’s shot because he did not see it, noting that the best saves are the ones you can’t explain how you saved.

However, he expressed delight that he was able to help his side avoid a defeat in the game.

The German international joined the Emirates Stadium from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window and had his way to go over take Petr Cech as the first choice goalkeeper.
