Struggling Premier League club Fulham have boosted their attack with the signing of Liverpool flop Lazar Markovic.
Serbian international winger Markovic joined the Cottagers shortly before the end of the winter transfer window on Thursday night.
He joins Fulham side that is second from bottom on the Premier League table after just 17 points from 24 games since the start of the season.
Lazar Markovic was a flop at Premier League leaders Liverpool.
The 24-year-old joined the Reds from Portuguese giants Benfica in a £20m deal in 2014.
The Serbian attacker didn’t feature for Liverpool at all under Jurgen Klopp who became the Reds manager in October 2015.
He was farmed out on loan on four occasions with clubs like English Championship club Hull City, Anderlecht, Sporting Lisbon, and Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce.
Lazar Markovic has scored three goals in 22 appearances for the Serbian national team and reports claim that Fulham will pay £1.7m for him in wages and transfer fee.
Fulham will be hoping that Lazar Markovic can reignite his football career at Craven Cottage with the club trying to escape the relegation zone with fourteen more games to go between now and the end of the current Premier League season.
