Liverpool man’s manager Jurgen Klopp is hoping youngster Ki-Jana Hoever signs his first professional contract in summer.
The player joined the Reds academy prior to the start of the season and has progressed through the ranks.
He made his Liverpool’s first-team debut in their 2-1 defeat to Wolves in the FA Cup competition some weeks ago, however, his future at Anfield remains uncertain.
According to ESPN, the 17-year-old might end his relationship with the Merseyside club by the end of the campaign so as to find a new club where regular game-time will be guaranteed.
Hoever is a very young player with huge potential and talent to become one of the world’s best defenders in the nearest future, hence, Klopp is seeking to make him commit his long-term future to the Anfield outfits.
In other Liverpool news, Jurgen Klopp is contended with the number of players at his disposal and he’s not planning to add to his team this month.
Interestingly, most of his injured players are on their way to full fitness and the Reds will be extremely fortified in their desire to win the league glory.
Dejan Lovren is reportedly back to training, while Joe Gomez will return to action in coming weeks.
As for summer signing Fabinho, the Brazilian will return to action against Leicester City in Wednesday’s Premier League clash.
Just as the German isn’t keen on completing a move for any player in January, Klopp is equally reluctant to let go of any of his players — either bit-part or an integral part of the team.
