klopp turns 49 and the cake is amazing

Jurgen Klopp celebrated is 49th birthday in style aftre Liverpool presented him with a unique life-sized caricature at his office at Melwood.

The reds tasked local baker Craig Cullen with creating Klopp’s stunning cake, which took four days of hard graft to create.

Moulded to the near-precise size of Klopp’s head, it took Cullen four days of solid work to complete as he added in all the intricate details.

It was completed by the spray painting of food colouring around the outside of the cake.

The whole of the masterpiece, made from a base of Rice Krispies, melted marshmellows, chocolate sponge and buttercream, is edible apart from the trademark glasses.

Cullen told Liverpool’s official website: “I made the cake because I am surrounded by Liverpool fans within my circle of friends and my family, and I like what I have seen of Jurgen.

“He is a great character and has quickly become an iconic and recognisable figure within the sporting world.”
