Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has cooled down the injury fears on Reds midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
England international Oxlade-Chamberlain has not played competitive football for Liverpool this season following a long-term knee problem.
He returned to action for the Liverpool u-23s on Friday afternoon in their league clash with Derby County only for him to last just 41 minutes.
He was withdrawn four minutes earlier than scheduled as a precaution.
Several Liverpool fans have been left worried as a result but Klopp has allayed their fears.
Klopp told the club’s official website that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is not injured and that his knee is perfect.
Oxlade-Chamberlain suffered the serious knee injury during the first leg of the Reds’ semifinal tie with Italian Serie A giants AS Roma in April.
Without him, Liverpool were able to secure a 6-5 aggregate win over the Italians to secure a final spot against Real Madrid.
The Spanish La Liga giants beat Liverpool 3-1 to win a third successive Champions League title last summer.
Oxlade-Chamberlain made a return against Derby County after 11 months out as a result of the injury.
He has not featured for Liverpool in their quest to win the Premier League title at the expense of defending champions Manchester City.
The Citizens have a one-point lead at the top of the table ahead of Liverpool.
