Former Liverpool star Dirk Kuyt believes Jurgen Klopp’s side are on the verge of becoming one of the most memorable in history and has tagged them “the perfect team “.
The Reds have the chance to end a wonderful season with a silverware when they take on Tottenham in the Champions League this Saturday after ending the premier league season behind Manchester City in the Premier League.
This weekend’s final will be Liverpool’s second successive Champions League final having lost 3-1 to Real Madrid in Kiev last season.
The clash means that under Jurgen Klopp the Reds have been to four major final although the former Borussia Dortmund boss is still in the hunt for his first trophy during his time in charge of the Reds.
However, the German coach has gotten a lot of accolades from Ex Dutch star Kuyt, who spent six years at Anfield between 2006 and 2012 and who also scored in Liverpool’s 2007 Champions League final defeat to AC Milan.
