Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp believes his summer signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain made the best decision leaving Arsenal during the transfer window and that it will be good for his development as a player.
Alex made a surprising move to Liverpool from Arsenal on deadline day, having previously rejected a new contract with Arsene Wenger’s side.
He ended up costing Jurgen Klopp’s side around £40million, despite rarely being a regular in the starting lineup during his six years in North London.
Despite this, Liverpool boss Klopp thinks the Ox has moved at the right time and can take his game a step further at his own side. Klopp described Alex’s new start as a ‘relief’ for him.
Klopp, speaking recently about the player, notes that Liverpool plays differentlyly.
‘This doesn’t mean we play better or worse, just different.’ he explained.
However, Alex’s Liverpool career has not got off to the best of starts, with the reds still struggling to stand firmly, despite starting the campaign impressively.
Liverpool will be playing Leicester City on Saturday at the King Power Stadium for their next premier league game, and they will be without their star player Sadio Mane.
They will afterwards make a trip to Russia to play against Spartak Moscow for their next Champions League game on the 26th of this month before playing Newcastle on the first day of October.
