Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo has completed his loan move from Chelsea to Leganes.
The 24-year-old who is one of the club’s players that are currently out on loan to other clubs, and has never played in any competitive game for Chelsea since he signed for them in 2012 from Standard Liege.
Omeruo is a versatile defender who can play both at right-back and central defence, and has shown composure and resilience at several professional levels but has not been able to break into the team at Chelsea.
Prior to his involvement at the last World Cup in Russia, he played on loan at Kasimpasa in Turkey where he had a mixed campaign.
In related news, Maurizio Sarri has lifted ban of two training ground rules in a bid to win the players to his side in his first season at the club.
The former Napoli coach has said players are now allowed to spend the night prior of a game at their respective homes before a game, abolishing Conte’s rule of camping the players at a hotel in West London.
Sarri has also relaxed the club’s strict diet regime, which was frowned at by most players during Antonio Conte’s stay at the club.
