Emerson Palmieri signed for Chelsea in January 2018 after spending three-and-a-half years with the Italian duo of Palermo and AS Roma.
The 24-year-old had a difficult start at Chelsea before establishing himself at the club during the just concluded campaign.
Emerson played second fiddle to Spanish international defender Marcos Alonso during the second half of last season before becoming the first choice left-back towards the end of the just concluded season.
He made 27 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions.
Emerson played 90 minutes as Chelsea finished the season with the Europa League title via a 4-1 win over London rivals Arsenal.
