Italian Serie A giants Juventus have made a big bid for highly rated Ajax Amsterdam defender Matthijs De Ligt in their quest to sign him ahead of other interested clubs.
The news of the Juventus’ bid was revealed by popular English news platform Daily Mirror.
Matthijs De Ligt is one of the most sought-after players on the transfer market at the moment.
According to the Daily Mirror, Juventus have made a £75m bid for Matthijs De Ligt having joined the race to sign him.
Other major European sides like Barcelona, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool have been linked with the 19-year-old.

Past and present Liverpool players like Virgil Van Dijk and Jamie Carragher have talked up the possibility of the Reds signing De Ligt this summer though it must be pointed out that Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona are in pole position for his signature.
Matthijs De Ligt is highly thought of by the aforementioned clubs having led Ajax Amsterdam to their first domestic double in eleven years.
The Dutch international centre back was a prominent figure for Ajax Amsterdam who won both the Eredivisie title as well as the Dutch Cup.
In addition to the domestic double, De Ligt and Ajax Amsterdam also reached the Champions League semifinals.
