Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will take club starlet James Garner alongside the rest of the senior players for their preseason tour in the USA.
Garner is yet to play for the first team and he spent last term in the Under-18 Youth side. The England U-17 skipper could not also play for Man United’s reserves, but he has been an impressive yungster.
His father made it known on social media that his son has been selected for the pre-season tour after he helped the U-18 side to win the Northern Premier League last season.
Nine Manchester United players participated in the quarterfinals of the ongoing World Cup in Russia, and each of the players are entitled to a three-week break after departing the tournament.
This means Jose won’t have a lot of first-team players around for the tour which is starting this month.
Jose Mourinho’s decision to include 17-year-old James Garner in the senior team is a decision that should excite the fans.
It’s a thing of pride when a youngster you developed grew into an influence on the bigger stage.
Before now, some Man United fans have been worried that manager Jose Mourinho won’t give the youngsters their chances at Old Trafford. But the Portuguese tactician keeps showing us he is always ready to work with the lads.
