Liverpool midfielder James Milner has bemoaned the chances his side missed during the 1-1 draw with Arsenal in their Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday night.
The Reds had more clear-cut opportunities and could have scored more according to the retired England international star.
The former Manchester City and Newcastle United gave his verdict about the game immediately after the huge Premier League meeting between two of England’s finest.
Reds’ Dutch centre back Virgil Van Dijk had two glorious opportunities either side of the halftime interval but he was denied by the Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno on both occasions.
The visitors were also denied a legitimate goal from Sadio Mane by the assistant referee.
According to James Milner, Liverpool could have easily won the game if they were more ruthless with their finishing.
The Reds had earlier taken the lead through the efficient Milner just after the hour mark after he capitalised on the uncertain defending in the Arsenal ranks.
That was how it stayed until eight minutes from time when Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette rescued a point for the Gunners off a through pass from Alex Iwobi who impressed as a 67th minute substitute for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
