Unai Emery’s latest comment on Gary Cahill’s transfer speculations is surely not what the Gunners fans would love to hear.
The Gunners are in dire need of a new centre-back and they have been linked with the Chelsea outcast. However, Emery revealed that his employers are not keen on the England international.
According to him while speaking to reporters after his side’s 4-1 victory over Fulham on Tuesday, the board members are not talking about Cahill’s future and he has no idea if they are going for his signature in the ongoing transfer market.
“We didn’t speak about him,” Emery confessed to newsmen.
It is believed that the 32-year-old defender is one of the players — alongside Victor Moses and Danny Drinkwater — who will be leaving Stamford Bridge during the winter market due to lack of first-team action under Maurizio Sarri.
AC Milan showed their desire to lure the player to San Siro during the summer transaction period but they failed to complete their move for the England international before the end of the summer window.
The Serie A giants are yet to reignite their interest in Cahill and it remains to be seen if Chelsea will sanction his move to Arsenal who are direct rivals.
Pulisic, N’dombele, Sarr and Eric Bailly are all linked with a move to the Emirates stadium but it isn’t certain if Sven Mislintant is ready to spend big this month.
