Inter Milan make shock move for United’s 33-year-old player

Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia is a target for Serie A side Inter Milan and he could end his 10-year relationship with the Old Trafford outfits this month.

The 33-year-old defender is in the final year of his contract with the Red Devils and it’s obvious he won’t be offered a new deal by the club due to his age.

The Ecuadorian star joined United from Wigan in 2009 as a winger but the recent revolution in the game has seen him featured as a wing-back for the former Premier League Champions.
Valencia is one of Solskjaer’s trusted players at the moment and Ed Woodward wouldn’t want to let go of the experienced player unless there’s a capable replacement.

The Mirror report that Inter Milan are keen on Valencia’s signature, knowing well that they can get him without offering any amount of money to United.

Apart from Valencia, at least three players are likely to leave Old Trafford as a free agent by the end of the campaign.

Juan Mata, Ashley Young and Ander Herrera are in their final six months of their contract and reports claimed they could be leaving before the start of next season.

Meanwhile, Carrasco and Coutinho are heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford as Solskjaer hopes to improve his side’s attacking threat in the second half of the season.

It is yet to be seen if United are financially buoyant to complete the move for both players as it is believed that both players would cost nothing less than £200m.
