Sad news for Liverpool fans as Klopp fears double injury setback ahead of derby clash.
After missing the victory over Burnley yesterday due to injury problems, Liverpool duo of Egyptian Mohamed Salah and Brazilian international Philippe Coutinho could be sidelined for the derby with Everton too.
A late goal by Ragnar Klavan at Turf Moor ensured that Liverpool didn’t miss their attacking duo, as Klopp’s men continued their good recent shape to put pressure on the teams above them in the English Premier League log.
With such a hectic match schedule though, it’s testing Liverpool’s squad depth and it would be difficult for the side as the manager is unsure as to if or not the influential attacking duo will recover just in time for their next fixture.
Liverpool’s next fixture is a massive one, as they lock horns with local rivals Everton in the English FA Cup on Friday evening, and consider Jurgen Klopp’s recent comments below, it doesn’t seem too positive for Liverpool as regards hopes of getting their attacking duo back on the field of play in time.
The Egypian international has netted 23 goals and made eight assists in 29 matches, while Brazil attacker Coutinho has scored 12 goals and made nine assists in 20 matches.
