Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is trying to push the club’s management to sign more players before the end of this summer transfer window, and the west London club have been linked with a handful of players.
The premier league champions are eager to lure full-back Danny Rose from Tottenham and have also identified former blues player Ryan Bertrand as a fall-back option.
It is understood that Conte is not too pleased with the way things are happening at Chelsea and he recently hit out at the management for allowing Nemanja Matic leave to Old Trafford.
Even though Chelsea have been able to bring in Willy Caballero (as a free man from Manchester City), Antonio Rudiger (from AS Roma), Tiemoue Bakayoko (from Monaco) and Alvaro Morata (from Real Madrid), as much as nine Chelsea players have departed Stamford Bridge already this summer – including John Terry, Nathan Ake, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The latest player to leave was Nemanja Matic, and both Diego Costa and Kenedy are not expected to play at Stamford Bridge this season.
And the Conte is particularly determined to bolster his wide areas, but has failed in bringing in Alex Sandro and Sergi Roberto.
Conte is now understood to be interested in landing English defender Danny Rose from Tottenham. But Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United are also reported to be interested in the England international.
According to the Sun, The Italian tactician has identified Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand as a back-up option.
