Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has apologised for his error which handed Premier League title chasers, Liverpool, a 2-1 win on the stroke of full-time.
The game was heading towards a stalemate until his slip-up cost his side dearly.
Hugo Lloris fumbled a tame Mohamed Salah into the path of teammate Toby Alderweireld who put through his own net, unfortunately.
The French World Cup winner is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League but he has been shaky at times this season as highlighted by the game against Liverpool.
After the game, Lloris apologised for his error and went on to say that his focus is now on the next game.
Tottenham will host London rivals Crystal Palace on Wednesday night in their new stadium.
They would be hoping to bounce back from their defeat at the hands of Liverpool which made it four losses in five Premier League games ahead of the Palace game.
Roberto Firmino gave Liverpool a first-half lead against Spurs before the North London giants responded with a second-half strike from Lucas Moura.
Both sides would have shared the points until the late howler from an experienced shot-stopper by World Cup winner Hugo Lloris.
