English Premier League outfit Man United defender Phil Jones has tipped the club to start winning trophies with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer already named as an interim coach.
The former Red Devils boss was handed a permanent role after recording a successful reign as an interim boss since taking over in December last year.
However, the Red Devils defender believes the new manager will ensure that the Man United team return as contenders for major honours titles, starting from the coming season.
Phil Jones noted that the Man United team have got a very slow start this season and that has been the case for the past two years as they could not contest for major trophies but that will no longer be the case, according to him as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will now help the team challenge.
The central defender is of the opinion that the team is now positive that they are on right track and will now rise to be the team they were known for.
However, the Red Devils under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer returned to winning ways and were able to get back into the race for the top-four finish.
Meanwhile, Man United are in the contest for a Champions League win as they are in the quarter-final and will play against Barcelona
