According to British media reports, Man United goalkeeper David De Gea has agreed to sign a fresh five-year contract with the Red Devils.
De Gea set to sign new deal
Manchester Evening News is claiming that the safe hand has agreed to sign a five-year deal with the former Premier League champions this summer window.
The same report states that the Spain international goalkeeper is willing to finally end rumour linking him with a switch to Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid in recent years.
As per the same report, the UEFA Champions League holders were set to make the Man United star the most expensive shot-stopper in world football with a staggering £100million offer.
But the Spaniard is set to agree to a new long-term contract at Old Trafford to make sure Jose Mourinho can keep rebuilding the squad.
Real Madrid a long-term admirer
The Red Devils first choice goalie was close to a move to Madrid in the 2015 window but the proposed transfer deal failed to materialize on transfer deadline day in the La Liga.
The goalkeeper has consistently been the Red Devils best performer since former manager Sir Alex Ferguson stepped aside as head coach back in 2013.
The shot-stopper has won the English Premier League, the Emirates FA Cup, the carabao Cup and the UEFA Europa League at Old Trafford.
