Jurgen Klopp’s period as boss at Anfield as seen a handful of youngsters given the opportunity to shine and prove themselves at the club.
Last season, young talented chaps like Ejaria, Ojo, Woodburn and Alexander-Arnold all shone under the guidance of the former Borussia Dortmund manager at Liverpool.
As the new campaign will start tomorrow, it is expected that more youngsters will be given their first team chances at Liverpool, and one superb player in the lime light is Ryan Kent.
Last season, Kent played on loan for Barnsley and he proved to be a major hit in the Championshiop. In 38 league starts, the 20-year-old was able to score 3 goals and provided 3 assists. He was named Barnsley’s Young Player of the Year back in April.
He has made a return to Anfield and impressed in Liverpool’s pre-season games when given the opportunity to feature by the club’s German boss.
And now, the young player has agreed terms of a new contract with the reds.
After signing the new deal, while speaking to pressmen, the English player expressed his delight and how pleased he was to keep moving at Liverpool.
Kent has featured six times for England U-20 side and has a goal to his name for the national side. We look on to how he will perform this season.
