Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has told the current players at the club what to do to be able to return to a smooth ride for the Premier League challenge.
The Old Trafford side have suffered a very rough start of the season and have lost four out of the ten games played this season including their embarrassing exit from the Carabao Cup against Derby County.
The poor run also exposed the crisis in the United’s dressing room as well as the rift between the manager and some of the players,
Rooney in his reaction said there is a need for players to have big respect for the club and the manager in order to turn the situation around, noting that the Portuguese manager has got the experience more than some of the players.
The former striker stated that no matter what the situation may be at the club, players must rally round the manager to play for a positive result.
Meanwhile, Rooney left the Old Trafford to join Everton, his childhood club before finding his way to the MLS side, DC United where he is currently enjoying good form.
Rooney has hinted on ending his playing career to immediately go into football management after urging players who retire to follow the steps of Frank Lampard and John Terry who are both club managers today.
