Chelsea target Antonio Rudiger says his future will be decided in the ‘coming weeks’ amid speculations that he is ready for a move to the English top flight.
There were recent reports that the premier league champions have agreed a fee with Roma after bidding £30million for Rudiger’s signature.
The Germany international is currently celebrating his country’s Confederations Cup victory and he has answered questions about his future after the final clash against Chile.
The talented defender refused to confirm or deny interests from the blues but dropped some hints he was considering a summer exit from his Italian club.
‘It’s not about the future now… it’s now about enjoyment,’ he said.
‘I need to enjoy this moment, and I’m enjoying it to the fullest.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen on bolstering his defence this summer with his side preparing for a title defence and a return to the Champions League.
Rudiger is expected to jet into England this week to complete the details of the deal and also undergo a medical.
Club legend John Terry is departing Stamford Bridge already and young centre-back Nathan Ake has been sold to Bournemouth for £20m. So, the Italian boss needs fresh signing to come into the squad ahead of a busy campaign next season.
