Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce are reportedly eyeing a move for out-of-favor Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater in this winter transfer window.
This is according to the publication from the Daily Mail which revealed that the fallen Turkish giants want to add one-cap England international Danny Drinkwater to their squad thus making him the second Chelsea to join the club after Nigerian winger Victor Moses.
Victor Moses is on the verge of completing a loan transfer from Chelsea to Fenerbahce having already undergone his medical ahead of the move.
The former Crystal Palace and West Ham United player had played six times for Chelsea in all competitions.
This is in stark contrast to the Antonio Conte era where he was a regular fixture in the Blues first team.
Conte was also in charge of the Chelsea team when Danny Drinkwater signed for the club at the start of last season in a deal reported to be around £35m.
Maurizio Sarri has already told both Victor Moses and Danny Drinkwater that they don’t feature in his long-term plans at the club.
Drinkwater played just 30 minutes for Chelsea this season and that was in the Community Shield against Manchester City in August.
The Citizens won the 2018 edition with a 2-0 win courtesy goals from Sergio Aguero.
