According to reports, Manchester United head coach Jose Mourinho is looking to reinforce his frontline this summer transfer window.
Man United boss wants more from wonderkid
The Manchester Evening News suggests that the Portuguese tactician remains unconvinced that England youngster Marcus Rashford can properly deputize Belgium international striker Romelu Lukaku next term.
The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss is allegedly concerned about his options in attack with the Man United manager keen to play the England wonderkid out wide.
Although the youngster hasn’t been that bad at the ongoing World Cup in Russia when handed the opportunity for the Three Lions, his missed goalscoring opportunity when one-on-one with Chelsea and Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois showed Jose Mourinho’s concerns.
Man United boss seek goal poacher as back-up
Undoubtedly, the United boss believes in the starlet and the claim continues by saying the Portuguese remain a big fan of the 20-year-old.
However, Mourinho isn’t completely convinced of Rashford’s ability to play in the centre-forward position all alone and would like a relatively similar striker to act as deputy for Romelu Lukaku.
Centre-forward’s like Marko Arnautovic and Mario Mandzukic are the two strikers mentioned by the report as possible transfer targets to be back-up for the former Chelsea and Everton striker.
