Expect More: Guardiola Demands Improvement Next Season Ahead Of Title Fight With Liverpool

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has one eye on next season despite the fact that the Citizens are in the thick of the Premier League title battle with Liverpool ahead of the last set of games in the competition this season.

Manchester City and Liverpool are going head-to-head for the right to win the Premier League title in this campaign with final league games against Brighton and Wolves on the horizon respectively.

In his pre-match press conference ahead of the Citizens’ final league game against Brighton and Hove Albion, Pep Guardiola told reporters that he expects his side to improve on what they have achieved this season.

Guardiola and his Manchester City squad can become the first team to retain the Premier League title in a decade after Manchester United achieved the feat at the end of the 2008/09 season.

They have to beat Brighton and Hove Albion away from home to make sure that they will retain their league title and render the result from the Liverpool-Wolverhampton Wanderers game meaningless.

Liverpool will lose the Premier League title to the holders if they beat the Seagulls at the Amex Stadium.

Manchester City also have the FA Cup final to negotiate with Watford lying in wait at the Wembley Stadium next week Saturday.
