Merseyside giants Everton have reportedly reached an agreement with Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona for the permanent transfer of midfielder Andre Gomes.
This is according to the publication from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo which revealed that Barcelona have agreed to a €25m initial bid for the Portuguese international star plus add-ons that will see the Catalans recoup the majority of the money spent on the midfielder when he joined them from Valencia in 2016.
Andre Gomes signed for Barcelona shortly after he helped Portugal win the 2016 European Championship in France via a 1-0 win.

The Portuguese midfielder spent two years at Barcelona where he failed to nail down a starting XI spot in the star-studded Barcelona team.
Andre Gomes was sent on loan to Premier League club Everton where he has proven to be an instant hit.
Everton faced a lot of opposition in their bid to retain the player permanently but their quest has been aided by Andre Gomes’ desire to stay in Liverpool.
European champions Liverpool were also linked with him but nothing concrete came out of it.
Another Premier League club West Ham United made two separate bids of £18m and £20m but they were rejected by Barcelona who were holding out for more money.
