Merseyside rivals Everton have joined Chelsea in the race to sign one of the Blues’ transfer targets in the current January transfer window.
Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson has been a long-term target for Chelsea in their quest to solve their goalscoring problems.
The Toffees also have issues in their striking department just like what’s obtainable at Stamford Bridge.
Callum Wilson has been in very good form for the Cherries this term after recovering from two serious knee injuries in the last three years.
The 26-year-old has netted nine goals in the Premier League this term in addition to five assists in 20 appearances.
His form earned him an invitation to the Three Lions of England squad under manager Gareth Southgate.
Callum Wilson was handed a start in the game between England and the United States of America in an international friendly in November.
He scored the third goal on his debut against the Americans as England ran out 3-0 winners.
Apart from Everton and Chelsea, West Ham United are also interested in a move for Callum Wilson with the Hammers targeting him as a replacement for Austrian international star Marko Arnautovic who’s on his way to Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG.
