Emre Can was heavily linked with a move away from Anfield during the summer transfer window, but a move couldn’t materialise before the closure of the window.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have been trying to agree on a new deal with him, but it appears the talented midfielder is destined to leave the Merseyside club next year.
Can played a pivotal role in helping Liverpool finish in the top four last term and he has been a regular starter under Klopp so far this season.
But the Mirror made it known that the Germany international is now expected to leave Anfield for free next summer since talks over a new deal with the club is yielding nowhere.
This season so far, the 23-year-old has featured in 14 games in all competitions for Liverpool and has scored 3 times with 2 assists.
He also helped his side earn all three points against Maribor in their most recent Champions League game this week by scoring one of the three goals that gave them the win.
There are reports the versatile player isn’t pleased with his current wages at Liverpool – just £55,000-a-week – and the Mirror revealed he is now demanding something as massive as £160,000-a-week.
It was also added that the reds are not ready to pay more than £75,000-a-week, and he is likely to leave Anfield for another club that can pay him better.
Serie A champions Juventus are very much interested in bringing him over to Turin, although he’s been also linked with Bundesliga side Bayern Munich.
