Emery makes tough claim after EPl slim win

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has reacted to the 2-1 win by his side over Bournemouth on Sunday in the Premier League clash.

The Gunners were gifted with an own-goal by Jefferson Lerma before a late goal scored by Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, to ensure the stretch of the unbeaten run to 17 games across all competition.

Emery had confessed the game was a tough one for his side as they only managed to secure a win.

According to the Spanish manager, the result was more important for his side away from home, noting that the mission is to continue winning each game that comes.

He, therefore, added that his side were able to remain calm and be more organized even after conceding the first goal and that was important in ensuring their win of the game.

Emery stated that playing Bournemouth will be a difficult one for any club that faces them which made it more interesting to have recorded a win in the game.

The former PSG boss filed out a three-man defence for the first time since his switch to the Premier League in the Sunday game.

The Gunners still maintain the fifth position after the weekend clash as they hope to keep the pressure on until they can be assured of a top four finish at the end of the season.
