Arsenal manager Unai Emery has explained why he had a slow start of the season with two consecutive defeats against Manchester City and Chelsea respectively.
Emery had joined Arsenal in the summer after replacing former manager Arsene Wenger and was immediately compelled to face the two biggest sides in the league.
However, the Spanish manager has since bounced back with 9 successive wins for the North London side in all competitions.
Explaining how that has happened, the former PSG boss explained that the first two fixtures had come when his side were still building a system and had not fully adapted to it.
He noted that at that time, the quality and performance of his opponents were very high compared to his side who were just doing their own things differently and making efforts to improve in their game.
The Spanish manager, therefore, stated that a lot of things are still needed to be done by his side in order remain high, noting the need to find the best individual and collective performance of the team.
However, the Gunners will host Leicester City on Monday morning at the Emirates Stadium in a bid to extend their winning streak to 10 in a row.
