Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has admitted that Jack Wilshere will remain at Arsenal next season despite speculations over his future.
The Gunners midfielder has had an injury-stricken career despite having brilliant skills to become one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
Jack Wilshere left the Emirates last summer for a loan move to Bournemouth, in search of better opportunities after the arrival of Granit Xhaka which further pegged his progress at Arsenal. Upon his arrival at the Vitality stadium, the 25-year-old went on to become a constant figure with the Cherries, sparking interest from several clubs who were ready to pounce on his signature with his contract at Arsenal running to an end.
Eddie Howe has now confirmed that Wilshere has returned to Arsenal, and will be ‘difficult’ to sign him, he said: “No, I think that’s going to be very difficult for us,when we signed him on loan, and I’ve said this many times, the plan was for him to stay a season and then go back to Arsenal to evaluate his future.”
“He did part of his rehab here, he’s now gone back to Arsenal. But it was great to see him for the week that he was with us and really nice to be able to speak to him and for him to see all the players again, because after the Tottenham game he suffered the injury that he did and the players hadn’t seen him again. [It was] really nice to be able to spend time with him, talk to him and wish him well for the future.”
