A lot has been said about the controversies at Manchester United with manager Jose Mourinho at the centre of it all.
While some have pointed blame on the manager, some have accused players like the French midfielder Paul Pogba as the cause of the whole issues but no one has ever mentioned a thing as close as Paul Scholes.
The United legend had stated that the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward had committed an offence that ensured the crisis was not over.
According to him, the offence committed by the United chief was not trusting the Portuguese manager and in that process, backed down from giving him necessary support in the event of things.
Recall that the former Chelsea boss had accused Woodward of not giving him the needed support in the summer transfer market by not making the signings of Harry Maguire and Toby Alderweireld to help give a good cover in the defence.
Also, the embattled manager had predicted a difficult season owing to the lack of recruitment to the Old Trafford and urged patience for his side.
The fact that United have not won their last four games this season makes the situation more critical to bear, forcing fans to call for Mourinho’s sack.
