Arsenal attacking midfielder Santi Cazorla has said that the club has not offered him a new contract to remain at the club.
Injury-plagued
The attacking midfielder has been sidelined since October 2016 with a terrible injury that the Spaniard has been gradually working to recuperate from.
During his last match for the North London club, the Spain international sustained an injury to his Achilles tendon, and after routine rehabilitation processes failed to work, he had to undergo surgery eight times.
Having then been infected in the affected part, doctors feared the little man would never be able to use his legs again.
However, after a skin was taken from his forearm and a lot of recovery time, the player is recuperating well, but while the midfielder has participated in light training drills, he is still way off playing competitive football.
Uncertainty around future
Speaking to Spanish publication Cadena SER, as cited by FourFourTwo, the midfielder isn’t sure if he will remain with Arsenal next term, as he works toward a return to football action in 2019.
The 33-year old confirmed he has not been offered any contract at Arsenal, and he does not know anything about his future when his contract ends in June.
He joined Arsenal back in 2012 for about £10million from Spanish La Liga club Malaga.
