According to new reports, Real Madrid star forward Alvaro Morata has now reached an agreement to join English premier league champions-elect Chelsea, and their Italian boss is set to replace Diego Costa with the Spanish striker.
Morata has been heavily linked with a move away from Real Madrid in recent times after falling down the pecking order in ZinedineZidane’s squad.
Zidane however featured him in the starting XI that played against Granada in their La Liga game on Sunday. They won 4-0, and Morata scored a brace in the game.
Nevertheless, it was said that he hasn’t done enough to convince his French manager that he will be in his plans next season.
Chelsea’s boss Antonio Conte has been said to be interested in reuniting with Morata having both of them had worked together back then at Juventus.
And popular news outlet in Spain ‘Diario Gol’, insisted that a move looks to be on the way after Alvaro’s agent held successful talks with the west London club.
It was added that Morata’s agent has been in talks with a host of European clubs, but the player has decided joining the blues with both parties closing an agreement.
His girlfriend has already been looking at houses in the England capital, and has reported found a place for them which they can move in.
Despite his lack of regular playing time, the Spanish star has scored 20 times for Real Madrid this season so far and his current contract at the La Liga club should expire in 2021.
