German Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin are plotting a summer move for highly-rated Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic.
The Reds midfielder is on a season-long loan at the German capital club at the moment having joined them at the start of this season.
Hertha Berlin sporting director Michael Preetz while confirming the club’s bid to sign Grujic permanently told SportBild that he can now call Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after the title fight for the Premier League trophy.
Klopp and has been preoccupied with the Premier League title race with champions Manchester City who eventually triumphed with just one point at the end of the season last weekend.
Marko Grujic has been in sensational form for Hertha Berlin in this campaign despite suffering several injuries throughout the course of the season.
The Serbian international was restricted to just 22 games in the German Bundesliga and he rewarded Hertha Berlin with five goals and an assist.
Hertha Berlin have repeatedly talked about a permanent transfer for the aforementioned Grujic who also spent last season on loan at recently relegated Premier League club Cardiff City.
He helped the Bluebirds secure a spot in the Premier League but the Welsh giants were unable to prevent relegation from the top flight after just one season.
