It is reported that North London outfit Arsenal have indicated interest in the signature of Argentina central defender Walter Kannemann ahead of the coming summer transfer window.

The Gunners boss Unai Emery has already assured the fans of some transfer activities in the summer window after a very inconsistent season that has just been concluded.

The Unai Emery side recorded the least number of clean sheets and conceded quite a number of goals in the course of the season which calls for more attention to the defence.

Walter Kannemann has never had a career outside South American but his performance has been heard of by a number of top European sides who are all lined up to snap him up.

Two Italian Serie A outfits Inter Milan and Sampdoria are strongly linked with the signature of Walter Kannemann who is believed to cost no more than £10 million

However, the 27-year-old has got a level of experience and has been handed 5 caps with the Argentine national team to boost his profile.

The North London outfit are believed to be in a better position to land the star player as his asking price will also not be an issue this time around.
