Besiktas goalkeeper Loris Karius wants to stay at the Turkish club beyond this summer.
This is according to the publication from the stables of Fanatik which claimed that the Liverpool loanee has recovered from a poor start to his football career at Besiktas and he’s enjoying his stay with the Turkish Super Lig outfit.
German shot-stopper Karius signed for Besiktas on loan from Premier League title chasers Liverpool at the start of this season.
He’s expected to stay with Besiktas for this season before the Turkish club decides to sign him or let him return to his parent club.
Besiktas can sign Loris Karius for just £9.5m as stipulated in the contract that took him from Liverpool to Turkey last summer.
He struggled in the opening weeks of his Besiktas career and was publicly called out by club manager Senol Gunes for his high-profile mistakes while in goal for the Turkish side.
The good thing for Loris Karius is that his chances of staying at Besiktas have been boosted with the fact that Senol Gunes is expected to take up the Turkish national team managerial job with Shakhtar Donetsk manager Mircea Lucescu expected to take over from him.
As it stands, Loris Karius has no future at Liverpool and he would be better served staying at Besiktas.
