English Championship club Aston Villa are reportedly plotting a summer transfer for striker Tammy Abraham who’s presently on loan at the club.
This is according to widespread reports coming out of the media in the United Kingdom.
Nigerian-born England striker Tammy Abraham joined the Midlands club at the start of this season and the former European champions are prepared to make his loan deal a permanent one.
He joined Aston Villa from West London giants Chelsea on the deadline day of last summer’s transfer window.
According to the specific publication from The Telegraph, Aston Villa are willing to pay as much as £25m to sign Tammy Abraham permanently from Chelsea if they secure promotion to the Premier League.
Aston Villa are in a very good position to secure Premier League promotion after winning the first leg of their Championship playoff semifinal tie with rivals West Brom at the weekend.
Tammy Abraham scored the winning goal for Aston Villa from the spot to give them a 2-1 win over West Brom at home ahead of the second leg at the Hawthorns later this week.
Aston Villa will face the winner of the semifinal tie between Leeds United and Derby County (Leeds United leading 1-0 from their away leg) in the playoff final if they can scale through the West Brom hurdle.
The playoff final winner will secure Premier League football for next season.
