According to British media reports, Manchester United have been informed that they will need to pay £40million if they want to land Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish this summer transfer window.
Midfield reinforcement needed
The Daily Mirror, as cited by Metro, is claiming that Man United want to make a move for the 22-year-old midfielder following the retirement of Michael Carrick.
Aston Villa failed to seal promotion to the English Premier League and that has prompted uncertainty about the player’s future at the Championship side.
However, the Birmingham side are thought to be keen on keeping the midfielder and have slapped a £40million valuation on him this summer.
As per the same article, the Red Devils are keen on reinforcing their midfield this summer window following the retirement of Michael Carrick and the fact that Belgium international midfielder Marouane Fellaini has not yet agreed to a fresh deal.
New players expected at Old Trafford
The same report also states that Man United are in the market for a fresh central defender and a right full-back this summer window.
Jose Mourinho’s team are aiming to put together a team that is good enough to win the Premier League next term after they finished second in the League last season.
The Red Devils have not won the English Premier League since 2013 under Sir Alex Ferguson.
