Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has decided to remain at Old Trafford beyond this summer, according to reports.
The 26-year-old has been tipped to leave United this summer with reports of a serious offer from Real Madrid who is considering a move for the keeper after failing to complete a deal for him in 2015.
There was speculation that De Gea had met with Real Madrid during the season and talks were successful, triggering fears among United fans that the keeper has set sights on leaving the Old Trafford.
However, reports in The Sun claim that the Spaniard has made a U-turn on his future at United and wants to stay after they qualified for next season’s Champions League.
Before now, there were reports that United boss Jose Mourinho has identified several targets to replace De Gea should he leave. Second-choice goalkeeper Sergio Romero has been a starter towards the end of the season, he has shown keen interest taking the number one spot from De Gea having proofed his worth towards the end of their season, with solid displays especially in the Europa League.
