Diego Costa has been in the news for some time and he has recently released an official statement asking Chelsea to give him the chance to make a move back to his former Spanish club Atletico Madrid.
His future has been up in the air right from the end of last campaign and it is understood that Serie A side AC Milan are interested in bringing him over to San Siro even though he has made it known that he prefers going to Madrid.
Earlier on in the summer, it seems as if the Madrid club would sign the striker and register him to their squad when their ban ended next January. However, new reports indicate that a deal is stalling.
But the blues are understood to be concerned about his absence from training so far this season and feels his lack of fitness might affect his transfer market value. This has brought up talks that Chelsea could take legal action against the Spain international.
However, the 28-year-old has also issued a demand of his own as he looks towards making the move back to Madrid.
‘I must return back to Atletico Madrid.’ he said.
‘It turns out there’s the impasse that they [Chelsea] do not want to release me.
‘Now I believe this situation will be resolved on my return to Spain.’ he added.
