This summer’s transfer window could potentially be the biggest in recent times as clubs try to boost their respective playing squads ahead of the new season.
The transfer window for Premier League clubs opened earlier on Thursday and it would last for the better part of three months before it shuts a day before the start of the season billed for Saturday, August 9, 2019.
North London giants Tottenham Hotspur made history after they failed to sign any player throughout this season.
Spurs were the only team in Europe that failed to sign any player last summer and they repeated the same cycle during the winter transfer window earlier this year but they are expected to break that transfer drought but any potential deal will have to be after the Champions League final in Madrid at the start of June.
In an all-English affair, Tottenham Hotspur will face Liverpool to determine who will win Europe’s premier club competition this season.
For their opponents Liverpool, the transfer window will be a quieter one than what was obtainable with last summer when the Reds splashed the cash on players like Brazilian national team midfielder Fabinho, Guinean international star Naby Keita, Xerdan Shaqiri and shot stopper, Alisson Becker.
