AS Roma manager Claudio Ranieri has revealed that he will leave the Italian Serie A giants when the current season ends.
The former Chelsea manager confirmed his imminent exit earlier on Friday.
Claudio Ranieri took over the AS Roma job on an interim basis in March and he will leave the Italian capital club after just 12 games.
AS Roma will appoint a permanent manager this summer following the exit of Eusebio Di Francesco in March.
Ranieri replaced Di Francesco at his boyhood club two months ago after the Italian tactician resigned from his job shortly after AS Roma were eliminated from the Champions League by Portuguese champions FC Porto in the round of 16 stage.
The former Leicester City and AS Monaco has been able to lead AS Roma back to contention for next season’s Champions League.
AS Roma are in a three-way race for just one Champions League spot with both Atalanta and AC Milan.
Atalanta occupy the fourth spot with 59 points and three points ahead of both AC Milan and AS Roma in fifth and sixth position respectively.
Claudio Ranieri was a Chelsea manager for four years until the 2004 when he was replaced by Jose Mourinho who went on to win three league titles over two spells for the Blues.
