Chelsea loaned star Nathan Ake has ruled out any possible return to Stamford Bridge in January, after rumours had it that the Blues are considering bringing back the 21-year old defender due to lack of play time in his loaned club Bournemouth.
The versatile defender was sent out on a season long-loan move this summer to Bournemouth to gain more playing time, after he had previously been loaned to Watford last season where he flourished.
Since the Holland international arrived Vitality Stadium this season, the highly rated centre back had found chances hard to come by, with him handed his first top flight start for the Cherries in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Stoke in which he scored the winning goal.
When asked about the rumors linking him back to his parent club in January, Ake had this to say:
“I don’t know where that [Chelsea story] comes from,” Ake told the Daily Echo.
“It came from nothing. I ignore it and focus on what I have to do in training – and focus on Bournemouth.
“This is the feeling you want after games you’ve played. You win and go home on tuhe coach feeling happy. That’s what I’ve missed and now it’s back so I’m delighted.”
The talented player will be hoping to get a starting spot, when his team takes on Arsenal this weekend in an EPL clash.
