Ex-Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is said to be eyeing the vacant managerial job at Italian Serie A giants AS Roma.
This is according to the publication from popular media outlet Goal which claimed that the Italian tactician is ready to return to management.
In a recent interview granted by Antonio Conte and monitored by Goal, the former Blues manager revealed that he’s 60% sure that he’ll return to the Italian Serie A next season.
Apart from Antonio Conte, another former Chelsea manager in Jose Mourinho has also been linked with the AS Roma job.
Another former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri is presently in caretaker charge of the team after taking over his boyhood club following the exit of Eusebio Di Francesco in March.
Claudio Ranieri will stay in the job till the summer when the AS Roma hierarchy will appoint a permanent manager.
Antonio Conte is one of the favourites to become the permanent manager at the Italian capital club as AS Roma bid to challenge his former team Juventus and their eight-year domination of the league title.
Chelsea sacked the former Juventus manager last summer after the Blues failed to qualify for Champions League football.
He had one-year left on his then Blues contract before his dismissal.
