Chelsea’s David Luiz Dreams Leaving Chelsea To Join This Club To Win Champions League

Chelsea defender David Luiz has made a revelation that he desire to return to Portuguese side Benfica before he ends his career.

The Samba star spent four years with the Portugal club prior to his first spell at Stamford Bridge.

And during his time at the Estadio da Luz, he won the Primeira Liga and three Portuguese League Cups with the Portuguese side.

It is now clear the 29-year-old defender loved his time with Benfica and he is now hoping to either play for them again as a footballer or to manage them in the future as a coach.

David Luiz who joined Benfica as an 18-year-old from Brazilian side Vitoria, has admitted that he sincerely hopes to win the Champions League with his former side.

‘My dream is to return to Benfica and become European champions with them,’ he said.

‘I don’t know whether it will be as a coach or a player, but I want to go back there.’

Since leaving Benfica, David has since gone on to enjoy a remarkable career. He has, with Chelsea, won the Champions League, and the FA Cup, and the Europa League (where his Chelsea side beat Benfica in the final). And he has also lifted two Ligue 1 titles with Paris Saint-Germain while he was still with the French giants.

Frank Lampard Reveals What Antonio Conte Does Really Well At Chelsea

Frank Lampard is a big fan of Chelsea manager Antonio Conte and he believes the Italian coach does a great job striking the right tone in his media interviews.

Chelsea moved 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League table on Monday night following their 2-1 win against West Ham United in the London derby.

And the former Juventus boss has refused to get carried away in the title race despite his side’s dominance at the top of the table following just one defeat in 20 games.

The Stamford Bridge outfit will return to FA Cup action this weekend when they host Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in the last eight.

And Lampard speaking to Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football about the Chelsea manager, heaped lots of praise on Conte’s down-to-earth performances in the media.

“He strikes the right tone. He speaks well. He never gets overly excited with the constant wins that they’d have at times this season.

“He is on the pitch with the fans at the end showing his emotion and his desire.”
