Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez has revealed he will ‘think about offers’ to open the door to a Chelsea move.
The Blues have previously scouted the Colombian midfielder but a move for the 25-year-old did not materialise. However, Rodriguez has grown frustrated at his lack of chances at the Santiago Bernabeu.
When asked about his future, he replied: “I can’t promise I will stay at Real Madrid. I have offers and seven days to think [about them].”
It is understood that a £75 million could be in the offing for Real Madrid if they decide to let go off the midfielder.
But Zidine Zidane has suggested otherwise earlier this month, he said: “He [Rodriguez] is going to stay here.”
Reports in the Sun claimed the Colombian further thought about moving away from Madrid after speaking with Lionel Messi after Argentina’s 3-0 win over Colombia who urged him to leave Santiago Bernabeu in order to fulfill his potential.
Manchester United are also believed to be monitoring the transfer situation but Chelsea have emerged favourites to sign Rodriguez.
Rodriguez came into limelight after his impressive displays for Colombia at the 2014 World Cup which earned him a move to Real Madrid but has been starved of game under Zidane and is set to leave the Spanish capital in search of active football.
